Harmanpreet Kaur and Shafali Verma Assist India to 216
After winning the toss, India Women chose to bat first and posted a big total of 216/7 in 20 overs. The Indian batters attacked the Zimbabwe bowlers and maintained a high-scoring rate throughout the innings.
Shafali Verma provided an aggressive start at the top of the order. She posted 69 runs off 37 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes. Her innings gave India the early momentum and put pressure on Zimbabwe.
Harmanpreet Kaur produced a top-notch batting show in the middle order. Her innings helped India cross 200 and finish with a commanding total.
Chasing 217 runs, Zimbabwe Women needed a strong start to challenge India's total. However, the Indian bowlers picked up important wickets and kept the needed run rate under control.
Sharne Mayers led the charge, scoring 60 off 49 balls. Beloved Biza also made 44 runs off 50 deliveries, but their efforts were not enough to bring Zimbabwe close to the target.
Zimbabwe finished their innings at 124/7 in 20 overs, falling 92 runs short of India's total.
Nandani Sharma led India's bowling attack with three wickets for 18 runs in four overs. Her performance helped India restrict Zimbabwe and complete a convincing victory.
India won the match by 92 runs under the leadership of Smriti Mandhana. India had won the first T20I by four wickets and the second by nine wickets before producing another strong performance in the final match.
The series offered India's batters and bowlers valuable match practice.
Harmanpreet's big score, Shafali's aggressive batting and Nandani's three-wicket haul were among the key performances in the final game.
