The India captain has smashed a double century in just 117 balls against West Indies, producing one of the most unbelievable ODI innings we have seen in recent times. The two put together a huge opening partnership and completely changed the mood of the chase. Think about it West Indies had scored 405/7 and would have walked off thinking they had put India under serious pressure. Instead, Gill and Rohit came out and started batting like India were chasing 250. Rohit's 35th ODI century was special in itself, but Gill's innings has now taken the headlines.

Gill's rise in ODI cricket has been quite something. He has already scored multiple ODI double centuries, has now become the fastest to an ODI 200, and is breaking records at a very young age. Earlier in the year, he scored 154 against Afghanistan and reached the milestone of 7,000 international runs. He also recently became the fastest Indian to reach 11 ODI centuries, doing it in just 68 innings. And now there is another record next to his name - fastest ODI double century. The interesting part is that Gill is doing all of this while leading India.
