A total of 63 players, including 23 overseas players, were retained across the five teams. With 27 squad slots remaining, including seven overseas slots, franchises will have opportunities to add new players and address gaps in their existing combinations.
The five participating franchises are Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz. Each team will look to build a strong squad featuring experienced international stars and promising Indian talent.
The auction will also provide an opportunity for emerging players to secure contracts and make their mark in one of the leading women's T20 leagues.
