Bhuvneshwar Kumar Might Play Tomorrow:
Team India is currently playing a 5-match T20 series against West Indies. India have included star fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar to their team for the 5th and final T20 match against the West Indies. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the decision on October 16, 2026, ahead of the series decider scheduled for October 17 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The experienced pacer has been included after Arshdeep Singh faced a blow to his bowling shoulder during the fourth T20I in Hyderabad. The BCCI stated that Arshdeep's availability for the final match would depend on his recovery. Bhuvneshwar’s comeback will surely strengthen India’s bowling unit.
A Comeback to Remember For Him
After delivering a top-notch performance in the IPL, it is a great comeback to remember for him and cricket fans. The 36-year-old fast bowler last represented India in a T20 International in November 2022 against New Zealand during the ICC T20 World Cup. Whether he will play the 5th T20 or not is not confirmed.
The fifth T20I is especially important because the five-match series is level at 2-2. India secured the first and third matches, while the West Indies bounced back to win the second and fourth games. Both teams will now fight for the series victory at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is famous for his ability to swing the ball in the best ways. He has also delivered important performances during the death overs throughout his international career. His possible return provides another interesting craze to the series finale.
He will play in the upcoming T20 series against Newzeland. His selection for the West Indies match could give him another chance to prove his readiness for international cricket. He has played 87 T20S for India, taking 90 wickets.
Cricket fans and experts are expecting another high-scoring thriller between the two teams. Bengaluru last time hosted an international match in October 2024 against New Zealand.
