Team India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak shared his opinion on Vaibhav Suryavanshi during an interview. He said, “Everyone likes Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Social Media likes him. But you can’t make changes to the XI just because people like him. The hype around him is not good for the team.

Sitanshu Kotak Backs Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Great Future

Kotak appreciated Suryavanshi's talent and backed him to have a bright future in Indian cricket. However, he explained that the youngster needs time to learn and gain experience at the international level.

According to reports, Kotak believes that spending time with the Indian team can help Suryavanshi understand the demands of international cricket. He is also learning from senior players and observing how they approach different match situations.

The batting coach said Suryavanshi has been working on his batting, fitness and fielding. He also showed the importance of learning how to play deliveries when the ball moves in different conditions. Kotak does not want to change the youngster's natural attacking approach without a strong reason.

Why Is Vaibhav Suryavanshi Not Playing in Recent Times?

One of the main reasons behind Suryavanshi's limited chances is the competition among India's top-order batters. Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma have been performing well, making changes to the opening combination difficult.

Kotak explained that dropping a player who is performing well just to accommodate another batter would not be fair. He also pointed out that only 11 players can feature in the playing XI, so the team management must consider performance, balance and match requirements before making selection decisions.

The coach added that Suryavanshi knows the situation better now. Although the youngster naturally wants to play, he recognises why established players deserve their chances.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's International Journey

Suryavanshi has gained amazing attention because of his aggressive batting and solid performances at a young age. His performances in the Indian Premier League and international cricket have made him one of India's most talked-about young talents.

Suryavanshi has posted 246 runs in eight T20 internationals at a strike rate of around 186.37, including two half-centuries.

Kotak's comments make it clear that India values Suryavanshi's ability but will not rush his progress because of public pressure. The team management wants him to keep learning, improving and preparing for the upcoming opportunities.

For the young batter, patience and continued development could be just as important as his natural ability. His next opportunity will depend on the team's requirements and selection decisions.

When will Vaibhav Suryavanshi Play For India?
