Trent Bridge in June 2009 was the first, and Ireland won it by six wickets in a World T20 group match. Three years later Elias Sunny took 5 for 13 at Stormont, still the best return in the fixture.
Chattogram in March 2023 belonged to Bangladesh's batting. Litton Das made 83 off 41 and Rony Talukdar 67 off 38 in a total of 207 for 5, then Shakib Al Hasan took 5 for 22 in the second match - though Ireland took the third by seven wickets after bowling Bangladesh out for 124.
The pattern repeated at the same ground in late 2025: Ireland won the opener by 39 runs behind Harry Tector and Matthew Humphreys' 4 for 13, Bangladesh took the next two.
